This cobalt blue suribachi is an efficient friend when it comes to grinding. This traditional Japanese ceramic mortar has an unglazed interior with sharp ridges and a wood pestle. The sharp ridges hold herb material in place and prevents sliding allowing you to grind your seeds, roots, and nuts with ease. We do not recommend grinding resin’s with your suribachi.
To clean your suribachi, use a soft bristled brush to remove excess material then rinse with hot water. Don’t use soap as the unglazed ceramic will absorb the soap.
