Description
Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs now expanded and revised. Over 400 herbal species from around the world are identified by their associations and magickal uses. This reference book is for you, the natural witch and wizard. It’s a resource you can use as a beginner or a seasoned herbalists. The book has reference tables of properties and magickal associations. For example, properties like gender, element and planet are listed. In this way you can find herbs that will work well together. Likewise you can find substitutions. Some species referenced are now endangered. For that reason substitutions are best. Finally, it features illustrations for easy identification of every herb.
I’d recommend this book if you are just starting down the green witch path. It has the most herbs of any reference book.
It’s easy to find substitutions in the tables of Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs. First, I find the magickal property related to intent. These are the first herbs to choose from. If not, I use the next steps to find similar associations. Second, look for herbs with similar properties like gender, element, and planet. Herbs with the most properties in common are my best substitutes. By the same token, use the tables to find complimentary herbs.
